Because of my father's work, I spent much of my childhood living in different parts of the world. I was born in Zambia, then moved to England, then to Hong Kong, and finally to the Netherlands at age twelve. Growing up as a global citizen has given me so much: rich memories of all the different smells, colors, flavors, languages, and cultures, and all the respect and love for these differences. But it has also cost me. Only years later did I understand and feel that.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Even as a child, I loved caring for and helping others, and studying Psychology was a perfect fit. After working in various jobs, I started with the police force as a selection psychologist. I quickly decided I wanted to work as a uniformed officer myself. After more than 10 years of working on the streets and as a manager, I returned to my original field and became a (corporate) psychologist with the police. With my street experience, I was able to support and guide police officers and gained extensive experience in how stress and trauma develop and can be addressed. Unfortunately, I also saw how conventional care can sometimes be extremely inadequate, and that's how I developed my desire to work as an independent psychologist, using a variety of alternative treatments. Ultimately, after 22 years with the police, I became a self-employed psychologist in 2022.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

I am trained as a (trauma-sensitive) yoga teacher, meditation and mindfulness teacher, breathwork coach, and facilitator of Kundalini NRGY sessions. As a therapist, I have specialized in EMDR and Brainspotting (EMDR's "little sister"), Trauma-Sensitive Heart Coherence Training (Heartmath), aromatherapy, and Aromatouch (DoTerra). I also offer ear reflexology and auricular acupuncture in my practice. These are a wide range of complementary treatments that activate and strengthen the human self-healing capacity and can provide relief from life's challenges.<\/p>

Since 2023, I've been a volunteer hospice caregiver and find great satisfaction in lovingly being there for people in the final stages of life and their loved ones. Working in the hospice has taught me a great deal, and this experience also helps me facilitate psychedelic sessions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Based on the digital intake form, an action plan will be created, consisting of personalized lifestyle advice based on your intention(s). Before the session, I will contact you to get acquainted and discuss what you can expect, what you want to work on, and how I can support you. We will also stay in touch after the session.<\/p>

At the beginning of the session, we'll talk, as in talk therapy. Then we can do relaxation and\/or breathing exercises to help you sink deeper into the experience and surrender to it. After the intake, the conversation will quiet down and we'll allow the experience to unfold as it does. Healing music will be played throughout the entire trip, and I'll be discreetly present with you. This is all to give you space for your process and allow valuable insights to emerge. As you begin to sober up, the conversation can slowly pick up again, and together we can explore what your psychedelic experience can mean for you. Only when you're ready will we conclude. My approach is compassionate, trauma-sensitive, and always in consultation with and tailored to you.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Since my student days, I've experienced periods of sadness and loneliness in my life. Although they helped me temporarily, I became increasingly resistant to antidepressants and talk therapy. As I learned more and more about alternative approaches like bodywork and energy therapy, I came into contact with people who had benefited greatly from ayahuasca and psilocybin sessions<\/a>.
My first ayahuasca session was literally a game-changer. I experienced a deep connection with myself and the world around me. As I write this, I realize I've never felt alone since. Since then, I've undergone ayahuasca, voyahuasca, and psilocybin (magic mushrooms and truffles) sessions, and completed a year-long training program to facilitate sessions safely and effectively.<\/p>

The insights I gained about my pain, my own ability to heal, and my self-love were mind-blowing and completely transformative. I stepped back into the Light. I wish this for everyone, and I will always use these insights as a foundation for my sessions. All my work is always trauma-sensitive and compassionate.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

I work in an area that covers a large part of South Holland and a small part of the province of Zeeland. My travel time is a maximum of 45 minutes one way.
