They determine the pathways through which stimuli are conducted through neurons, and thus how we think and what our mood is. When processing food, we primarily rely on our gut flora. Without the right bacteria and fungi, we simply can&#039;t convert food into usable substances in the right proportions. The first step, therefore, is to ensure that the right bacteria are present in the intestines. When purchasing probiotics, it&#039;s advisable to choose one that contains the main bacterial strains involved in pre-digesting our food. The best I&#039;ve found is this one: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 2<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ensure that neurotransmitters enter brain cells more easily and connect more easily with their receptors by getting the right omega-3s. These are DHA and EPA. The best sources are fresh oily fish or supplements like krill, fish, or algae oil. Krill oil works slightly better than fish oil, and algae oil is vegetarian\/vegan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 3<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ensure you get enough vitamin B (1, 2, 3, 6, and 12), vitamin C, vitamin D (sunlight), magnesium, potassium, calcium, copper, and iron through diet or supplements. These nutrients ensure the proper conversion of food into neurotransmitters. A varied diet can provide you with all these nutrients. Supplementing with a good multivitamin is possible, but not always necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>S<\/strong>tap 4<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In general, most neurotransmitters are made from amino acids. Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins. Therefore, temporarily consuming a high-protein diet can help prevent neurotransmitter deficiencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Eat the following foods more often as the foundation for neurotransmitters. Be aware of any allergens and, if you&#039;re using animal-based foods, ensure they&#039;re animal-friendly and healthy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table
