Psychedelic therapy in Belgium is currently not permitted and we expect Belgium to remain conservative and maintain the ban for at least another few years. Meanwhile, research into the positive effects of psychedelics on the psyche is continuing, primarily in the United States, the United Kingdom and the Netherlands. Due to various reports in the Belgian media regarding magic truffles and magic mushrooms in particular (active substance psilocybin -> psilocin), legalisation in Belgium might happen sooner than expected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many truffle sessions and ceremonies for Belgians<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lately, there has been a relatively high level of media attention in Belgium regarding the healing effects of psilocybin. Particularly following Selah Sue's story, many Belgians are coming from Belgium to the Netherlands for psychedelic ceremonies, given that it is illegal in Belgium. Another factor, of course, is that we here in the Netherlands have had much more experience with the use of these psychedelic substances for a long time. Through our clients, we regularly hear that doctors in Belgium suggest our services \u2018off the record\u2019 as an alternative to regular care when that is insufficient. In the first quarter of 2022, approximately half of our clients came from Belgium!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Open truffle ceremony<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It is also possible to join an open truffle ceremony. At an open truffle ceremony, the group is not private and there are a maximum of 5 other participants present. It is good to consider what you yourself feel comfortable with. Some clients find connecting with strangers an advantage, while others have a preference for more privacy and personal attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Suggesting your own location<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We also travel to locations within the Dutch borders. It is therefore possible to rent a holiday home, Airbnb or hotel room and have the session there. This way, you can choose a specific place that suits you well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other countries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Wherever you come from, you are naturally welcome. The spoken languages are Dutch and English. If you do not speak these languages, you can bring your own interpreter. We also recommend booking the day after the session as a recovery day, and if this is the day of the return flight, make sure this flight is not too early or postpone the return flight by a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
