VTM No Cap: MDMA session in the Netherlands

In October 2023, the editorial team of the VTM GO programme ‘No Cap’ asked Triptherapie to collaborate on an episode about drugs. The aim was to show the dangers of recreational use, but also that, under the guidance of a therapist, some drugs can have healing properties. Because the ‘No Cap’ team likes to make programmes that inform young people, we thought it would be useful to take part.

Camille Vanuxem takes MDMA

Camille Vanuxem is the one who wants to undergo the MDMA session and has therefore completed the intake form prior to the recording. Before the session could take place, we checked the intake for contraindications and several discussions took place in preparation for the MDMA session.

Although for convenience the video frequently refers to MDMA, a legal alternative is actually being used. Furthermore, the MDMA sessions do not yet fall under medical treatment and this care is not reimbursed by health insurers. Of course, this may change in the near future.

Good results after a challenging start

Psychedelic sessions often begin with resistance, including for Camille. The art of guiding lies in being able to turn challenging situations into insights and solutions. The end of the video above already cautiously shows that results have been achieved. The programme can no longer be viewed on VTM Go. However, you can watch a part of the broadcast via YouTube.

The recordings for this episode about MDMA therapy took place in Schiedam. Schiedam is located between Rotterdam and The Hague, and we have already been able to help many clients from here who come from Belgium. This is because psychedelic sessions using psychedelics that are not prohibited by the Dutch Opium Act may be used by Belgians on Dutch territory.

The Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam is specially furnished for psychedelic sessions and can be used for individual, duo and group sessions.
