I like the magic mushroom ceremonies over private sessions due to the supportive element of having a group!

Barbosa makes an important point about the group dynamic. Group ceremonies do offer something qualitatively different from private sessions that's worth understanding.

When you're in a ceremony with 5 other people, there's an energetic coherence that forms. People are doing deep psychological and spiritual work simultaneously in the same space. From a neurophysiological standpoint, this synchronization creates what's sometimes called coherence in the nervous system - you're not isolated in your experience but held within a collective field of intention and healing. Many participants report that this collective energy actually facilitates their own processing and insights.
