Yes, at Triptherapie it is standard practice to have conversations both before and after a psychedelic session. These conversations are essential to properly prepare for the session and to successfully integrate the insights afterward.

Before the session, the process begins with a detailed intake form, during which you share not only your medical and psychological background but also your personal goals and intentions. This helps ensure that the session is safe, personalized, and goal-oriented. In preparation for the psychedelic experience, you also receive personalized advice on nutrition, supplements, mental exercises, and mindset preparation. Sometimes, video and reading materials are recommended that can symbolically surface during the session. All these preparation steps are discussed and guided thoroughly.

During the the week before the psychedelic session itself the therapist with who guides the session will contact the participant. This videocall or phonecall is intended as a preparation call.

After the session, an initial reflection conversation takes place as soon as you are clear-headed again. Later, a more in-depth integration conversation follows, usually a few days afterward. During this talk, you and your guide explore the key insights from the session and discuss how to apply them in daily life. At Triptherapie, it is emphasized that integration is just as important as the session itself, as true transformation happens after the experience when insights are translated into actions.

This careful process — preparation, guided session, and integration — significantly increases the chances of lasting positive change.

If you want, you can already check what the intake process looks like via the Triptherapie intake page.
