At Triptherapie, we ensure the safety and suitability of all participants through a mandatory and thorough screening process prior to any psychedelic session or ceremony. Here’s how we protect both our clients and the integrity of the therapeutic process:

1. Comprehensive Digital Intake Form

All clients must complete a detailed intake form before they are eligible to book a session. This form collects information on:

  1. Current and past medical conditions (e.g., heart issues, neurological disorders, epilepsy)

  2. Psychological history, including diagnoses like depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, or psychotic disorders

  3. Medications in use (e.g., SSRIs, antipsychotics, benzodiazepines) which may interact negatively with psychedelics

  4. Supplement use and lifestyle factors (e.g., sleep patterns, stress levels, nutrition)

This intake is evaluated manually by us.

2. Contraindication Checks

We have strict exclusion criteria based on up-to-date knowledge of psychedelic risk factors. If someone reports a contraindicated condition or medication, we will:

  1. Either decline the session for safety reasons

  2. Or request medical clearance from their healthcare provider

In particular, anyone with a history of psychosis, active bipolar disorder, or who is currently on medications that dampen or dangerously interact with psychedelics (like SSRIs or MAOIs), will not be accepted or has to change medication in cooperation with their own doctor.

3. Personal Contact and Clarification

If the intake raises any questions or borderline issues, a therapist will reach out for further clarification. This can include a phone or video call to discuss personal history, intentions, emotional readiness, or potential risks.

4. Informed Consent and Education

Before the session, every client receives clear information about what to expect, how to prepare, and the effects on neurochemistry and psychology. Only after informed consent and signing a document the session can proceed.

5. Session Design and Matching

Only after screening approval do we match the client with a suitable facilitator. The session plan (dosage, setting, support) is tailored to the individual’s psychological profile and goals.

By applying this layered approach to screening, risk management, and education, we maintain a high standard of safety, particularly for those exploring truffle ceremonies, psilocybin sessions.
