New brain connections

Magic mushrooms and magic truffles have been shown to stimulate the growth of new branches and connections between brain cells that can help tackle conditions such as depression and addiction. Researchers in California have shown that these substances, which are banned as illegal drugs in many countries, are able to rewire parts of the brain in ways that go far beyond the effects of drugs. This means that psychedelics could be the “next generation” of treatments for mental disorders that could be more effective and safer than existing options, the University of California study authors said.

Ayahuasca can also help

In previous studies from the same team, a single dose of DMT, the key ingredient in ayahuasca medicinal brews from Amazonian tribes, has been shown to help rats overcome a fear of electric shock meant to mimic post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Now they have shown that this dose increases the number of branch-like dendrites growing from nerve cells in the rat brain. These dendrites terminate at synapses where their electrical impulses are transmitted to other nerve cells and support all brain activity. But they can atrophy (shrivel) and relapse in people with mental illness. “One of the hallmarks of depression is that the neurites in the prefrontal cortex, a key brain region that regulates emotion, mood and anxiety, tend to atrophy,” says Dr. David Olson, who leads the research team.

Anxiety, addiction and PTSD

These brain changes also occur in cases of anxiety, addiction and post-traumatic stress disorder and encouraging them to reconnect can help address this. The study, published in the journal Cell Reports, looked at drugs in several classes, including tryptamines, DMT and magic mushrooms, amphetamines (including MDMA), and ergolines (such as LSD). In tests on human brain cells in the laboratory, flies and rats, researchers found that these substances consistently strengthened brain connections.

Medical confirmation

People have long believed that psychedelics are capable of altering neuronal structure, and this is the first study to clearly and unequivocally confirm that. This opens up a whole range of new treatment options, which may be less prone to side effects and abuse. The research shows that there are a number of different psychedelics that are capable of promoting plasticity

Results even after one mushroom trip therapy session

From our own experience we can tell you that four out of five people who do a trip session benefit from the session after just one session. After just one use you will notice an increase in positivity, creativity, certainty and openness. “A 5-hour trip solved more for me than 5 years of regular therapy,” said the tripper.

Trip therapy including experienced trip coach

I, Marcel, am a trip coach at triptherapie.nl and I have had experience with psilocybin-containing truffles and magic mushrooms since 2012. I can also guide you with your self-healing under the influence of psilocybin. For the best results, I do this in your familiar environment, such as at your home or in nature around the corner. I will take care of all the work for you by arranging everything related to the trip. I will help you further than just providing the self-healing trip. To maintain a positive outlook on life, you will also receive lifestyle coaching through nutritional and exercise advice. I also look at neurotransmitters, which have a major influence on your “state of mind”.
