What is psilohuasca?
The name psilohuasca is similar to ayahuasca because, like ayahuasca, it uses MAOIs, or MAO inhibitors, in combination with psychedelics. Ayahuasca uses the psychedelic DMT, while psilohuasca uses psilocybin (truffles or magic mushrooms). However, we do not advocate the use of strong MAO inhibitors because they carry additional risks.

Our psilohuasca is different
We don't use strong MAO inhibitors when preparing psilohuasca. We do this because health and safety are our top priorities. As an alternative to the well-known MAO inhibitors, we use, among other things, the relaxing plant Passiflora incarnata. Passiflora incarnata has the lowest risk compared to the benefits you can gain from it during the trip. To minimize these risks, you should consider a modified diet.

Disadvantage compared to psilocybin
Psilocybin ceremonies do not utilize the MAO-inhibiting properties of the passion flower (Passiflora incarnata). Without MAOIs, there are fewer contraindications, and that is the biggest advantage of using only truffles or mushrooms without MAOIs. There is much less risk.
Benefits of passion flower
The advantage of using passion flower is that less mushroom or truffle is needed initially to achieve the same trip level. Compared to other commonly used MAO inhibitors, passion flower has a much milder effect, resulting in lower risks (but do take safety precautions seriously). The benefits of passion flower include:
- Calming effect
- Deeper trip (trip level 5)
- Longer trip (up to 8 hours)
- Clear trip
- More visual trip
Besides the enhancing effect of a psychedelic trip, Passiflora incarnata is also sometimes used without psychedelics to treat ADHD, nervousness, nervous heart problems, Parkinson's disease, seizures, muscle cramps, hysteria, hypertension, PMS, epilepsy, skin conditions, hemorrhoids, burns, asthma, whooping cough, bronchitis, infections, and as a painkiller for many ailments. It is also used for problems related to menopause. It is also used to reduce the effects of alcoholism, to facilitate quitting drinking, and is also used for delirium tremens.
The psilohuasca ceremony
Most of the psilohuasca ceremonies we lead are individual. These individual ceremonies have the greatest impact because we create a personalized plan of action. We do more than just guide people through a psilohuasca ceremony. We believe that a healthy body provides a healthy foundation for mental health. We therefore do everything we can to address all facets of existence, and therefore we also advise our clients on nutrition, exercise, and supplements. This comprehensive approach for body and mind ensures the best results in both the short and long term. For most clients, we typically follow a plan that looks like this:
- Registration, neurotransmitter test and intake
- Advice on nutrition, exercise and supplements based on point 1
- A period of 2-3 weeks to review progress from point 2
- An individual psilohuasca ceremony (unless a group is of additional benefit or preference)
- Trip debriefing and insights on the same day
- We will keep in touch for 1 to 2 weeks to integrate the insights.
Multiple people at the same time
In some cases, group guidance is also possible. If there's additional benefit to participating in a psilohuasca ceremony together, this can be arranged in consultation. We will never place you with strangers, so you can form your own group. Groups can have a maximum of four people.
