Establishment Triptherapie
Triptherapie was founded in 2018 Through Marcel van der Putten, from a powerful personal as well as scientific motivation. The reason for its creation lay in his belief that psychedelics, and especially magic truffles with psilocybin, can play a key role in restoring mental health, provided they are used responsibly and properly supervised.
Marcel's background in (bio)chemistry, his passion for psychology, nutrition and well-being, as well as his own transformative experiences with psychedelics, came together in a holistic vision. He saw that existing therapies were often inadequate for persistent complaints such as depression, anxiety or trauma, and wanted to offer an alternative that did not only treat symptoms, but worked on deeper levels of consciousness, neurochemistry and attitude to life.
So Triptherapie was founded with the aim of making psychedelic therapy accessible in a safe, professional and personal way. Triptherapie has since combined psychedelic sessions, lifestyle coaching, neurochemical support and integration counselling into a total concept that is unique in the Netherlands.
Triptherapie grown to market leader
Since its inception in 2018, Triptherapie has become the market leader in the field of therapeutic psychedelic pathways in the Netherlands. With now more than 3000 guided sessions by name, ranging from individual psilocybin sessions to truffleceremonies, relationship Therapy and MDMA analogue therapy, Triptherapie has firmly established itself as the most experienced and versatile platform within this fast-growing branch of psychedelic therapies.
Our strength lies in the professionalisation of psychedelic counselling, where safety, care and depth are paramount. In recent years, we have not only been able to support thousands of clients in their personal process, but we have also expanded our team with several certified therapists, psychologists and SPVs. This growth allowed us to help a broader group of people
What began as an initiative by founder Marcel van der Putten has now grown into a mature organisation with national coverage, collaboration with GPs and therapists, and a firm position at the forefront of a new approach to mental health.
With this growth, we remain true to our mission: the safe, professional and transformative use of psychedelics as a catalyst for real change.
Video about Triptherapie method of operation
If you want to get an idea of what Triptherapy involves, then the video about Triptherapie highly recommended viewing. The film you can see here not only shows the uniqueness of Triptherapie as a company, but also portrays six experienced mentors, gives an impression of the atmosphere of the Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam, and includes two in-depth client stories.
In the video, clients talk candidly about their transformative experiences with psychedelic therapy. These include how truffle sessions and MDMA therapy have helped with anxiety symptoms and finding inner peace.
Our therapists and tripsitters
Our team at Triptherapie is multidisciplinary and consists of a diverse group of therapists, psychologists and experienced trip sitters. What unites us is a shared mission: to guide deep, safe and healing psychedelic experiences aimed at personal growth, trauma integration, relief from mental health symptoms and regaining meaning.
Within our team you will find certified psychologists and therapists who are trained both internally and externally to work psychedelics. Thanks to their background in psychology, body-oriented therapy and systemic work, they are well equipped to intervene therapeutically where needed during a course of psychedelic sessions. They often accompany clients struggling with, for instance, depression, anxiety, trauma or low self-esteem.
Our trip sitters specialise in guiding deep psychedelic processes, which is an added value especially in high-dose psychedelic sessions with hallucinogenic psychedelics. They create the calmness and confidence needed to let go.
We also work behind the scenes with several GPs, therapists and psychiatrists who are open to innovative treatment methods such as psychedelic therapy. These collaborations ensure that in complex cases, such as those involving medication use or psychiatric history, we can consult with medical professionals to ensure the safety and effectiveness of a session.
