Psilocybin therapy at the end of life

Death and psilocybin

Terminal life stage

Our society views death as something bad. It's the end of everything, and we often struggle to cope with it. People nearing death can experience significant stress from not knowing what will happen. Psychedelic therapy, in the form of psilocybin therapy, can help with this. A good psilocybin session can foster acceptance. Isn't death simply the beginning of something else? Is palliative care in the Netherlands adequate enough to be properly prepared? Is death a transition to something else?

Documentary about psilocybin therapy

The next documentary about psilocybin therapy will also address helping people with a terminal illness such as cancer or when people are reaching the end of life due to old age.

Trip level 5

We believe the effects discussed in the video are primarily due to high doses of psilocybin, which cause a level 5 trip. A level 5 trip is the strongest trip known. Our description of the trip is as follows:

The reason trip level 5 works so well for end-of-life stress is because the ego, the sense of self-existence, is temporarily shut down. Death, of course, has the same effect, or at least that's what we think.

What else can you do with trip level 5?

When we guide a trip, we consider the individual's situation and goals. Triple Level 5 is the highest trip level available. We generally don't use Triple Level 5 with clients without psychedelic experience. Triple Level 5 is so intense and sometimes so incomprehensible that things only start to fall into place once you've "landed." Triple Level 5 is generally only used when you're ready to completely relinquish control to the subconscious. We use Triple Level 5 with clients who feel an extreme approach is necessary to escape anxiety and severe depression and who long to rediscover their love for life. After this trip, clients are fully reconnected with themselves because during Triple Level 5, that connection is completely broken.

What things will you encounter and learn during trip level 5?

What you can learn from such a profound trip varies from person to person. Most people report the following discoveries.

  • There is more than what we can see, hear, feel and smell
  • Consciousness may lie outside the brain
  • The little things influence the big things and vice versa
  • We are part of the universe and the universe is also within us
  • We are one with everything
  • Everything is made of love
  • Being happy with having a body after an out-of-body experience
  • What life and death mean
  • Less need to fear death
  • Life is a gift for which you can be grateful
  • More understanding of how life works and how sophisticated it all is
  • Our Earth lives together with us, we need each other
  • Interaction with beings that are not material but do transmit a lot of knowledge
  • How we can grow in normal life
