Psychedelic session for Germans
There are several reasons why clients from Germany choose to come to us in the Netherlands for psychedelic therapy. A key difference between Dutch and German legislation is that the Netherlands offers more leeway for the use of certain psychedelic substances such as psilocybin, LSD, and MDMA in a therapeutic setting. This has led to growing expertise in psychedelic therapy in the Netherlands, which is (still) less developed in Germany. Moreover, it is more difficult for Germans to engage in psychedelic therapy due to the social taboos surrounding psychedelics in Germany. We have already helped many clients from abroad with psychedelic sessions.
The German speaking therapists
In therapy, speaking one's native language is a significant advantage. Being able to communicate in one's own language allows for better communication of subtle nuances of feelings and emotions. Sharing emotions and thoughts can be quite challenging when someone doesn't feel completely comfortable in the language being spoken.
When someone speaks in a language other than the one they feel most comfortable in, it can lead to miscommunication, making effective therapy difficult and potentially leaving certain emotions undiscussed.
By using the patient's native language, the therapist can better understand what the patient wants to say and respond more effectively to their needs. This can lead to better and faster progress in therapy. To make it easier and more efficient for German speakers, we now have three German-speaking therapists with whom you can have a psychedelic session. Ronald is a psychosocial therapist with extensive experience working with psychedelics. Reineke is a psychologist who offers psychedelic sessions in addition to her own practice. Gijs can also facilitate sessions in German and has extensive experience in mental healthcare.
Ronald as a psychedelic psychosocial therapist
Ronald is a psychosocial therapist at Triptherapie. He has over 30 years of experience supporting people with trauma-related issues. Ronald combines his work as a therapist with his experience working with psychedelics, such as MDMA and psilocybin. He has had experience with MDMA and psilocybin since 1990 and combines his work as a therapist with psychedelic sessions. He works in German, Dutch, and English.

Due to differences in legislation, Germans can currently only use our services in the Netherlands. Ronald lives in Valkenswaard, near Eindhoven, and is not too far from Germany. Reineke as a psychologist
Reineke also works as a psychologist for Triptherapie and can conduct sessions in German. Reineke combines her knowledge of psychedelic therapy with mindfulness, aromatherapy, and psychology. Reineke works with psilocybin and MDMA. Sessions can be conducted in Dutch or English, in addition to German.

Reineke lives a bit further from the German border than Ronald, in Maassluis. If you choose to have a session with Reineke, we recommend booking a private Airbnb, vacation home, or hotel near Maassluis (Rotterdam), or using our space in Schiedam (Psychedelic Loft).
Reineke operates throughout the province of South Holland and part of Zeeland.
For the home sessions, I come from my current place of residence Maassluis, where travel costs of 50 cents per kilometer driven are charged to and from the postcode 3142 CA.

Gijs as a therapist
Gijs worked extensively in mainstream mental health care, including as a crisis intervention practitioner and as a lecturer and supervisor at the MGZ-GGZ program at the HAN University of Applied Sciences. Within Triptherapie, Gijs facilitates individual psychedelic sessions focused on personal growth, trauma integration, and restoring mental balance. Gijs is a native Dutch speaker. Sessions can also be conducted in English or German.
