I am coming from abroad and I want to attend a psychedelic retreat. What do I need to take into account when organising my trip?

About the psychedelic retreats

In addition to the private psychedelic sessions, we also organize monthly multi-day psychedelic retreats. These usually take place at various locations in the Netherlands and last two days. When planning your trip from abroad, you should take the following factors into account.

Is participation safe or possible?

Not everyone can just participate in a psychedelic session or retreat. Psychedelic substances cannot be used without the use of psychoactive medications, painkillers, and/or heart medication. Also, some conditions may not be compatible with the use of psychedelics. A first step is to have a medical examination to determine whether you are able to participate. You can fill out the intake form and contact your own treating physician for this purpose.

Planning the trip

If you would like to participate in a psychedelic retreat, it would be very helpful if you are available on the days that we organize these retreats. Please check the dates below and assess whether you have a timeframe in which you can participate. If you are participating in our retreats, we expect you to arrive somewhere between 13:00 and 16:00 on the day of the retreat and can stay until 11:00 the day after the ceremony date. If you need a long flight to get here, we recommend that you arrive in the Netherlands a day in advance and book a hotel near our location for one night. This way you can be sure to arrive on time. You can also consider booking the same hotel for three or four days if you want more privacy after the ceremony. We will then take you to the hotel (if nearby) after the ceremony.

The day after the ceremony, we have an additional morning program, and participation in it is optional. If you are coming from abroad, we recommend that you do not make any long-distance trips the day after the ceremony. It is better to book a hotel for this day in a place of your choice.

In short, for long-distance travel, it is convenient to arrive in the Netherlands a day in advance and stay overnight in a hotel. After the ceremony, you can spend the night together at our location or head to your own nearby hotel for more privacy. The day after the ceremony is a good time to rest and arrange another night of accommodation at a place of your choice.

Order of booking

After you have completed the intake form and are sure that you can participate in a psychedelic retreat, you can reserve a date with us. You can do this by booking a ceremony above. After we have approved your reservation, we will send you a confirmation with a request for a deposit. We will then keep the reserved spot available for you for a standard 48-hour period. After that, book your flight(s) and any overnight stays in hotels. After arranging your transportation, etc., pay the deposit (instructions in the confirmation email) for the retreat and you have finalized your reservation.

After advance payment

As soon as you have officially registered for one of our retreats, we will send you personal advice. You can use this advice to prepare yourself for the ceremony. We will also send you information about the retreat itself and practical information a week before the retreat.

Would you prefer a private retreat?

If the available dates of the planned retreats do not fit well with your schedule, you can choose to book a private session or ceremony. These private sessions are not limited by the availability of the open retreats and can take place any day based on the guide you choose. With private retreats, you can choose to use our location in Schiedam or have the session take place at your own rented location such as a vacation home or Airbnb. Good preparation includes filling out an intake form and discussing it with your treating doctor to determine whether participation is safe, especially if you are taking medication or have any medical conditions. In addition, it is advisable to prepare yourself mentally and physically through meditation, healthy eating, and setting intentions for the retreat. We can help you with this.

Our retreats last two days and take place at our location in Schiedam. You are expected between 13:00 and 16:00 on the first day and can stay until 12:00 the day after the ceremony. The program includes the psychedelic session, group discussions, meditation, and integration activities to help you process and understand your experience.

If you are coming from a distance, we recommend arriving in the Netherlands one day before the retreat and booking a hotel near our location in Schiedam. This ensures that you arrive on time and are ready to start the retreat. After the ceremony, you can choose to stay at our location or return to your own hotel for more privacy. It is also wise not to plan any long trips the day after the ceremony and to book an extra night to rest and integrate the experience.

The cost for a truffle ceremony is €550 and for an MDMA group session €650. You can book a date by selecting the desired ceremony on our website. After approval of your reservation, you will receive a confirmation with the request for a deposit. We reserve the reserved spot for you for 48 hours. After arranging your transportation and accommodation, you must pay the deposit to finalize your reservation.

After your final registration, you will receive personal advice to prepare for the ceremony. In the week before the retreat, we will send additional practical information about the course of the retreat and what you can expect.
