Psychedelic session intake
The intake is a form that serves as the first step in the preparation process for a psychedelic session. Its purpose is to map out your mental and physical health, medication use and personal goals, so that the session can be safely, responsibly and effectively tailored to your situation.
This information helps in preparing nutrition and supplement advice, which optimise your situation before the session. This increases the effectiveness of psychedelics and reduces the risk of difficult experiences.
As soon as you have submitted the intake, we will let you know within 48 hours whether you can book a session with us without objection. Furthermore, the information filled in on this form will serve as the basis for the personal lifestyle advice you will receive in preparation for the psychedelic session.

Frequently asked questions about the psychedelic intake
Filling in the intake form is a mandatory first step within trip therapy, and that is for several reasons, each and every one of which is focused on your safety, session effectiveness and personal alignment.
First of all, the intake process looks at any contraindications — such as certain psychological disorders, physical conditions or medication use — which can make the use of psychedelics risky. This prevents potentially dangerous situations, such as unwanted interactions with medication or the triggering of psychosis in susceptible individuals.
In addition, we use the intake to get to know you goals and personal situation to map out. Based on that, you will receive a tailored preparation advice with guidelines on nutrition, supplements, exercise and mental preparation. This not only increases the chance of a safe session, but also of deeper insights and lasting positive effects.
The intake also helps to find the right type of session and dosage to be determined.
Finally: the intake is necessary in order to be able to make a reservation. Without approval from the intake, participation is not possible. This safeguards the professionalism and integrity of our sessions.,
Yes, the intake at Triptherapie.nl is mandatory and fully fit for participation in a truffle ceremony. Whether you choose individual truffle session or an open truffle ceremony in a group setting, the intake form constitutes the first important step. The intake forms part of a careful four-phase process: intake, preparation, the truffle ceremony self, and integration.
After completing the intake, we will provide an initial response by email. Based on your answers, first of all a security clearance carried out to determine whether participation in a psychedelic session — such as a truffle ceremony of MDMA therapy — is medically and psychologically sound. In addition, you will receive information on how to conduct a session books — this can be at your home, at an external location or at our location during a group ceremony.
After booking a psychedelic session and paying the deposit, you will usually receive within a few days personal feedback with preparation advice. This advice is tailored to your completed information, such as your health situation, experience with psychedelics, goals and chosen session format (for example truffle ceremony of MDMA therapy).
In practice, you receive a via email personalised advice package which amongst other things consists of:
- Nutritional guidelines to balance your neurochemistry.
- Recommended supplements to support serotonin or dopamine levels.
- Exercises or mental preparation (such as breathing or setting intentions).
- Video and reading tips that can come to life during the session.
The speed of the feedback depends on how busy it is, but usually you will hear within 1 to 3 working days whether your intake has been approved and what the next steps are.
The personal preparation advice you receive after the intake at Triptherapie is not medical advice in the formal sense. They are drawn up by therapists and psychedelic guides with experience in neurochemistry, psychology and integrative health, but they act not acting as a physician.
The pieces of advice are intended to help your body and mind to prepare as well as possible on a psychedelic session and include recommendations on, for example, nutrition, supplements and mental preparation. Think of things that can support your serotonin levels or strengthen your mindset, but these fall under wellness and therapeutic guidance, not under medical treatment or diagnosis.
If you are in doubt about whether certain supplements or psychedelics interact with your medication or health condition, it is always wise to discuss this with your own doctor. Trip therapy also points this out and already takes known contra-indications into account via the intake.
