2. What data we collect and why
Contact form
When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message. We use this exclusively to answer your question.
Intake form
Before you can book a session, you complete an intake form. This is necessary to be able to assess your safety during a psychedelic session. Among other things, we ask here about:
- Contact details (name, age, location, email, phone number)
- Your goals for the session
- Medication use
- Current and previous drug use
- Mental health conditions
- Suicidal tendencies or a previous episode of psychosis
- Physical ailments
- Answers to the neurotransmitter test
Please note: part of this data (medication use, psychological and physical conditions, suicidality) is classified under the law as a special category of personal data (health data). We only process this data with your explicit consent, which you give by completing and submitting the intake form. We use this information exclusively to:
- Recognising contraindications for the use of psychedelics
- To carry out a security clearance
- To draw up personal preparation advice (nutrition, supplements, mental preparation)
These recommendations do not constitute medical advice and are not a substitute for professional care.
Newsletter
If you sign up for our newsletter, we will use your email address to send you a newsletter no more than once a month. We do this via our sending platform Sender. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every newsletter.
Trippy (chatbot)
When you use our chatbot, Trippy, you may share personal information such as your name, email address and telephone number during the conversation. Trippy uses ChatGPT (OpenAI) to answer questions about psychedelic guidance.
- Conversations are processed via OpenAI’s API
- Triptherapie staff can view calls for quality assurance purposes
- We do not share any data with third parties outside the scope of OpenAI’s data processing agreement
- We will delete your conversations on request

Trippy does not provide medical advice, does not replace professional guidance, and may contain inaccuracies. It is strongly advised not to combine your real name with medical diagnoses, health data, or medication use.
Financial data
Payments are made via bank transfer. We keep the financial records required for this as legally mandated (7 years).
3. Why we are permitted to process this data
We process your data on the basis of:
- Your explicit consent — for the initial assessment and use of Trippy, particularly in relation to health data
- The performance of a contract - for planning and executing a booked session
- A legal obligation — for the purposes of keeping financial records
- Your own registration — for the newsletter, with the option to unsubscribe at any time
4. How long we retain data
- Intake forms and email correspondence: 2 years, unless you request removal sooner
- Financial records 7 years (statutory retention period)
- Session reports: only with your permission, otherwise deleted after the session
- Newsletter details: for as long as you remain registered, until you unsubscribe
5. Who we share data with
We never sell your data to third parties. We work with the following parties, who act as processors on our behalf:
- Elementor Hosting — for hosting our website
- Sender — for sending our newsletter
- OpenAI — for processing conversations via Trippy the chatbot
6. Cookies
Our website currently uses no tracking, analytical or marketing cookies. We only use functional cookies that are necessary to make the website work properly, for example to remember your language preference (via TranslatePress). No separate consent is required for these functional cookies.
Should this change in the future, we will update this statement and, where necessary, ask for your consent.
Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss or unlawful processing. Should a data breach unexpectedly occur that poses risks to you, we will report this in accordance with legal obligations to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) and, if necessary, to you.

You have the right to:

- To have your data deleted (within legal limits)
- Object to the processing of your data
- To have your data transferred (data portability)
- to withdraw previously given consent (e.g. for the intake) at any time
