In-depth therapeutic psychedelic retreat

For those who want more therapeutic guidance around psychedelic ceremonies such as a truffle ceremony, we now have an adapted program specifically focused on therapeutic support during our three-day psychedelic retreats. This three-day retreat is a carefully structured experience in which preparation, ceremony, and integration support each other.

This retreat is more in-depth because it focuses not only on the psychedelic experience itself, but on the entire therapeutic process that surrounds it. Through the three-day structure with online preparation, a guided truffle ceremony, and an extensive integration day, the inner journey is supported on a physical, emotional, and relational level. Methods such as IFS, Voice Dialogue, Psychodrama, and mindfulness are used, ensuring that insights do not remain fleeting but are embodied and integrated into daily life. The guidance provided by experienced therapists and the follow-up session six weeks later ensure that transformation is not only touched upon but truly integrated.

Multi-day retreats

The supervising therapists

These retreats are led by Ronald Hochstenbach and Reineke Brandt, both therapists who, in addition to their personal and professional experience, have also completed the RINO training for psychedelic therapy. Within Triptherapie they have further specialised in the Triptherapie protocol, which brings together preparation, guidance and integration from a holistic perspective. Ronald is a psychosocial therapist and mindfulness trainer with a background in body-oriented and transpersonal therapy. He brings calm, clarity and safety to processes of deep inner transformation. Reineke is a psychologist, yoga teacher and breath coach, and works from a warm, embodied presence that invites trust and softening. With her experience in Yoga Nidra, breathwork and body-oriented integration, she guides participants in anchoring insights into daily life. Together they provide a safe, professional and human-centred foundation in which healing and growth can unfold naturally.

The therapeutic modalities

During this retreat, a rich combination of therapeutic modalities is used that complement and deepen one another. From an integrative approach, elements are drawn from IFS (Internal Family Systems), Voice Dialogue, TSM Psychodrama, Interpersonal Mindfulness, and Self-Compassion-focused work. These methods help to recognise inner parts, give space to emotions, and develop compassion for what presents itself. In addition, body-oriented techniques such as breathwork, TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises), and Yoga Nidra are employed to involve the body in the integration process. By bringing together the head, heart, and body, an experiential deepening is created in which insights are not only understood, but truly felt and embodied.

This retreat is intended for people who not only wish to experience an extraordinary psychedelic experience, but above all yearn for therapeutic depth and inner healing. It is suitable for anyone who feels that something wants to shift. This may involve letting go of old patterns, healing emotional pain, or rediscovering direction and meaning in life. During the retreat we work with various therapeutic modalities such as IFS (Internal Family Systems), Voice Dialogue, TSM Psychodrama, Interpersonal Mindfulness, self-compassion-focused work, body-oriented therapy, TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) and Yoga Nidra. This integrative approach creates space not only to gain insights, but also to feel and anchor them in the body and in daily life. This retreat is therefore particularly suitable for those who want to connect psychological growth, embodiment and spiritual development into a single whole.

The difference between a truffle ceremony and Three-day therapeutic psychedelic retreat mainly sits in the depth, duration and therapeutic guidance. A truffle ceremony is usually a one-day experience where the focus is on the inner journey itself. That is a guided truffle trip with attention to intention, music, and emotional support. The three-day retreat, on the other hand, is structured as a fully therapeutic process, in which preparation, experience and integration being connected with one another. Alongside the truffle ceremony, an entire day is dedicated to body-oriented and psychological integration, guided by therapists trained through RINO and trained in the Triptherapie protocol. Moreover, there is an online preparation session beforehand and a follow-up six weeks later to anchor insights. Where a truffle ceremony mainly offers a single transformative experience, the three-day retreat is designed as a complete journey of awareness, healing and grounding in everyday life.

The price of this comprehensive retreat is 1150 euros. For this you get a lot of therapeutic support and two nights of accommodation. If you would like a less intensive weekend with just one ceremony, take a look at the truffle ceremony with overnight stay worth 650 euros.

A psychedelic ceremony can carry risks, especially for people with certain medical conditions or who are taking certain medications. Some of the main risks are:

– Medical conditions: Individuals suffering from psychological disorders such as panic attacks or schizophrenia can have highly negative and traumatic experiences during a truffle ceremony.
– Drug interactions: The use of magic truffles can be dangerous in combination with certain medications, such as antidepressants (MAOIs and TCAs), which can lead to serotonin syndrome. Also, the effects of anti-anxiety medications may be reduced or intensified through interaction with magic truffles.
– Unpredictable experiences: The effects of truffles can vary depending on the dosage and individual sensitivity, which can lead to unpredictable and sometimes overwhelming experiences.
Therefore it is compulsory to to complete the intake form before you take part in a truffle ceremony. This helps to assess whether you are suitable to participate and to guarantee a safe and structured environment for all participants.

It is not mandatory to stay overnight at our retreat location. Some people choose more privacy and stay at a nearby hotel or at home the following day to attend the integration day. Furthermore, the overnight stay and participation in day three are optional, as day three consists of breakfast and the last sharing session via a sharing circle.

At present, health insurers do not reimburse psychedelic therapy. For the time being, psychedelic therapy is not yet recognised as a medical treatment and is rather regarded as coaching under the influence of a recreational substance. We expect that psychedelic therapy will only be partially reimbursed under certain conditions by 2026/2027. By that time, more studies will have been completed and health insurers may be less hesitant.
