Truffle ceremony and heart power
This blog post is intended to provide our participants in the truffle ceremony with the theme of heart strength with additional tips to better express the theme during the ceremony. Be sure to watch the videos and consider how they might help you.
Courage
La cour means "heart" in French. Courage shares the word "courage" and means "brave." Showing yourself and your heart requires courage, but only when you learn to do so can you truly be yourself. A beautiful video about courage and being who you are is "Brené Brown: The Call to Courage." This video can be viewed on Netflix via this link:
And a bonus Brené Brown episode is the Ted Talk below. It's also the most-watched Ted Talk ever. Feel free to watch more Brené Brown episodes if her writing resonates with you.
Wisdom from the heart
The heart is considered by many to be the center of emotions. It does more than just act as a blood pump. A great many feelings and emotions are sent from the subconscious mind to the body before we become consciously aware of them. Your body, therefore, already knows what the automatic processes in your subconscious mind mean before your conscious mind does. This wisdom is based on centuries of evolution and some learned patterns throughout your life. Sometimes we just have to trust the compass that resides in our heart.
The truffle ceremony
During this truffle ceremony We aim to put our minds on hold, allowing the subconscious to take its course. Emotions that flow through the body and heart are allowed to flow freely, allowing trauma to find a way out. We also let the heart guide the ceremony, and we will use its wisdom to better connect with who we are deep inside in our daily lives.
Reading tip
We have the book "The Power of the Heart" available at the Psychedelic Loft in Schiedam. Feel free to browse through it after the ceremony and decide if you'd like to read it yourself. If you'd like to start reading it now, you can order it from well-known bookstores.
