Paddy ceremony or truffle ceremony?
In a psilocybin ceremony, we use psilocybin-containing truffles instead of magic mushrooms. The truffles are actually the underground parts of the mushrooms and contain exactly the same psychedelic substances, but in slightly different proportions. The effect of magic truffles and magic mushrooms therefore almost completely coincides. The choice of truffles is due to Dutch legislation that considers psilocybin mushrooms to be an illegal list 1 hard drug and the truffle as a legal recreational substance.

Those who come to the Netherlands from the United Kingdom often search for the term "mushroom ceremony" or "psilocybin session". I believe the search for a psilocybin session arises because more and more research is being conducted in Great Britain on psilocybin for depression, addictions, and anxiety disorders. Although the research is conducted with approval, no psychedelic therapy should be administered outside of the research. For these reasons, more and more Britons are finding their way to the Netherlands to still benefit from the therapeutic effects of psilocybin.

We also recommend booking the day after the session as a recovery day, and if this is the day of the return flight, make sure this flight is not too early or postpone the return flight by a day.
