99% of the population is more beautiful than the self-image. Why do people view themselves so critically and see everything that is not beautiful about themselves? A birthmark can do so much bad for one's self-image, while someone else sees it as just a characteristic of a person.

The negative pattern

The more often someone tells themselves that they are ugly or worthless, they will eventually start to believe that lie. Typically, the origin of this lie has been bullying. Bullying exists to put other people down, causing the bully to increase in relative value. Other causes may include:

  • Comparing yourself too much to others
  • Not feeling appreciated during childhood
  • Fear including fear of failure

Ultimately, we can trace all reasons back to fear. The fear of not being good enough.

Not being good enough

You hurt yourself a lot if you are not good enough for yourself. You will express this in verbal and especially non-verbal communication. Non-verbal communication, such as body language, is perceived consciously and unconsciously by others and a response automatically follows. Others will also see you as inferior, which makes the whole thing even more difficult. This is the effect of a negative spiral of low self-esteem.

Low self-esteem can cause complaints ranging from dejection, depression, anxiety, burnout to physical complaints.

Positive spiral

Coming from the negativity of the negative spiral to a positive spiral is not that easy. Breaking old patterns is difficult because of how our brain works. Thinking yourself sick due to low self-esteem is proof that the mindset can be very strong. Why don't we use it to actually benefit from it? To get back into a positive spiral, we use how consciousness (the mind) and the body work together.

The best therapies to break negative patterns are hypnotherapy, meditative therapy or psychedelic therapy. We opt for psychedelic therapy with psilocybin, the effect of which is so strong that only 1-2 sessions of 4-6 hours are required. During psilocybin therapy it is possible to break all patterns because the subconscious brain and conscious brain can communicate freely. Blockages then come to light that are usually impossible to approach. From this state we can work on real solutions that differ per person.

Overview of treatment method for low self-esteem

Typically, with most clients we use a schedule that looks like this:

  1. Report, neurotransmitter test and intake
  2. Advice about nutrition, exercise and supplements based on point 1
  3. Review a period of 2-3 weeks of progress from point 2
  4. An individual psilocybin therapy (Unless a group is extra useful or preferable)
  5. Discussion of the psilocybin therapy on the same day
  6. After about 1-2 weeks there will be another discussion
