In-depth therapeutic psychedelic retreat

For those who want more therapeutic support around psychedelic ceremonies such as a truffle ceremony, we now have a modified programme specifically focused on therapeutic support during our three-day psychedelic retreats. This three-day retreat is a carefully constructed experience where preparation, ceremony and integration support each other.

This retreat is more profound because it is not just about the psychedelic experience itself, but the entire therapeutic process around it. Through the three-day structure with an online preparation, a guided truffle ceremony and an extended integration day, the inner journey is supported on a physical, emotional and relational level. Methods such as IFS, Voice Dialogue, Psychodrama and mindfulness are used, ensuring that insights do not remain fleeting, but are embodied and woven into everyday life. Guidance from experienced therapists and follow-up sessions after six weeks ensure that transformation is not just touched, but truly integrated.

The accompanying therapists

The guidance of these retreats is in the hands of Ronald Hochstenbach and Reineke Brandt, both therapists who, in addition to their personal and professional experience, have also completed the RINO training in psychedelic therapy. Within Triptherapie, they have further deepened their understanding of the Triptherapie protocol, which brings together preparation, guidance and integration from a holistic perspective. Ronald is a psychosocial therapist and mindfulness trainer with a background in body-oriented and transpersonal therapy. He brings peace, clarity and safety to processes of deep inner transformation. Reineke is a psychologist, yoga teacher and breath coach, working from a warm, embodied presence that invites trust and softening. With her experience in Yoga Nidra, breath work and body-centred integration, she guides participants in embedding insights into daily life. Together, they provide a safe, professional and people-centred bed in which healing and growth can naturally unfold.

The therapeutic modalities

This retreat uses a rich combination of therapeutic modalities that complement and deepen each other. From an integrative approach, elements from IFS (Internal Family Systems), Voice Dialogue, TSM Psychodrama, Interpersonal Mindfulness and Self-Compassion-oriented work are used. These methods help to recognise inner parts, give space to emotions and develop compassion for what shows up. In addition, body-oriented techniques such as breath work, TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) and Yoga Nidra are used to engage the body in the integration process. Bringing head, heart and body together creates an experiential depth in which insights are not only understood, but truly felt and embodied.

The programme consists of several components, including intake, following a personal preparation plan, online group preparation, ceremony, integration day and follow-up video call.

Questions about the retreat

This retreat is designed for people who not only want to have a special psychedelic experience, but above all desire therapeutic deepening and inner healing. It is suitable for anyone who feels that something wants to shift. This may involve letting go of old patterns, healing emotional pain, or regaining direction and meaning in life. During the retreat, we work with different therapeutic modalities such as IFS (Internal Family Systems), Voice Dialogue, TSM Psychodrama, Interpersonal Mindfulness, Self-Compassion Focused Work, body-oriented therapy, TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises) and Yoga Nidra. This integrative approach creates space not only to gain insights, but also to feel them and anchor them in the body and daily life. This retreat is therefore particularly suitable for those who want to connect psychological growth, embodiment and spiritual development into one.

The difference between a truffleceremony and the three-day therapeutic psychedelic retreat is mainly in the depth, duration and therapeutic guidance. A truffle ceremony is usually a one-day experience where the focus is on the inner journey itself. This is a guided truffle trip with a focus on intention, music and emotional support. In contrast, the three-day retreat is structured as a full therapeutic journey, in which preparation, experience and integration connected. Besides the truffle ceremony, a whole day is dedicated to body-oriented and psychological integration, guided by therapists trained through RINO and trained in the Triptherapie protocol. Moreover, there is an online preparation session beforehand and a follow-up six weeks later to anchor insights. Whereas a truffle ceremony primarily offers a single transformative experience, the three-day retreat is designed as a full journey of awareness, healing and anchoring in daily life.

The price of this extended retreat is 1150 euros. For this you get very much therapeutic support and two nights' accommodation. If you want a less intensive weekend with one ceremony, have a look at the truffle ceremony with overnight stay of 650 euros.

A psychedelic ceremony can carry risks, especially for people with certain medical conditions or taking certain medications. Some of the main risks are:

- Medical conditions: Persons suffering from mental disorders such as anxiety attacks or schizophrenia may have very negative and traumatic experiences during a truffle ceremony.
- Drug interactions: Using magic truffles can be dangerous in combination with certain medications, such as antidepressants (MAOi and TCA), which can lead to serotonin syndrome. Also, the effects of anti-anxiety drugs may be reduced or enhanced by interaction with magic truffles.
- Unpredictable experiences: The effects of truffles can vary depending on dosage and individual sensitivity, leading to unpredictable and sometimes overwhelming experiences.
Therefore, it is mandatory to fill in the intake form before participating in a truffle ceremony. This helps assess your suitability to participate and ensure a safe and structured environment for all participants.

It is not compulsory to stay overnight at our venue during our retreats. Some people choose more privacy and spend the night in a nearby hotel or at home and return the next day for the integration day. Furthermore, the overnight stay and participation in day three is optional, as day three is dedicated to breakfast and final sharing through a sharing circle.

Currently, health insurers do not reimburse psychedelic therapy. For now, psychedelic therapy is not yet recognised as a medical treatment and is rather seen as coaching under the influence of a stimulant. We expect that, under certain conditions, psychedelic therapy will not be partly reimbursed until 2026/2027. By then, more studies will have been completed and health insurers may be less reluctant.
