Private duo session for two people
A duo psychedelic session is intended for two people who consciously want to do a guided session together. These can be partners, but also friends, family members, or two others who know each other well and want to experience the same day together. As with the individual sessions, the emphasis is on privacy, personal attunement, and tranquility.
For many duos, this format is a nice middle ground between an individual session and participating in a group. You share the preparation, the setting, and part of the experience, while at the same time there remains room to look at each person's background, intention, sensitivities, and the way in which guidance fits best. As a result, a duo setup is personal, but also connecting.
For whom a duo session is suitable
A duo session is well-suited to people who wish to embark on an inner journey together without the dynamics of a larger group. Some duos primarily want to share a meaningful experience together. Other duos seek their own individual depth, but appreciate doing so in each other's presence. There are also duos who prefer to come with a trusted person, ensuring that a sense of safety, recognition, and connection is already present.
This format is therefore not only suitable for couples. Friends, siblings, parent and adult child, or two close acquaintances can also opt for a duo session. As long as both participants are aware of the process and there is mutual trust, this format can be a very suitable fit.
Together, with room for two individual processes
Doing a session together does not mean that everything has to proceed identically. During the preparation, one can consider how much emphasis should be placed on the shared experience and how much space is needed for each person's own process. For some pairs, experiencing a lot together works well. For other pairs, it is actually better to have more individual space.
It is precisely this flexibility that makes a duo session powerful. You come together, but the guidance does not have to be forcibly the same for both of you. In this way, both connection and personal depth can emerge.
Duo sessions for relationships
Some duo sessions focus explicitly on the relationship. This applies especially to couples who not only want to share a special experience together, but also wish to look more consciously at connection, openness, and the way they interact with each other. For sessions regarding romantic relationships, we have a preferred approach: first more attention to the relationship with yourself, and only then more emphasis on the interpersonal relationship together. This may mean that two sessions are required.
In relationship-oriented sessions, the first session is therefore often more focused on the individual. This first step revolves around personal growth, self-insight, and a better connection with oneself. With significant personal progress, the interpersonal relationship can often already improve considerably.
The second session can then focus more on the interpersonal relationship. The emphasis then shifts from introspection to openness, connection, communication, and experiencing the mutual dynamics together. This structure aligns well with couples who not only want to experience something together but also want to consciously invest in their relationship.
For the romantic relationship sessions, we can adjust the structure to your wishes, such as the first session in separate rooms or at different times.
Choose an option
The choice for a duo session usually depends on three things: which facilitator suits you well, the location where you want to hold the session, and a date that works best for you.
Most duos choose based on the supervisor first. Other duos look at the location first, for example because they prefer to stay at home or would like to use one of our locations. To make that choice easier, it is smart to first look at the team, the locations, and availability.
Choosing a supervisor
For a duo session, one facilitator is sufficient in approximately 95% cases. For most duos, this is a logical and appropriate choice, as one experienced facilitator is usually enough to guide both participants well during the preparation, the session itself, and the integration afterwards.
Some duos consciously choose two facilitators. This can be appealing, for example, when both participants desire a great deal of individual attention, when the process is more relational, or when it simply feels more comfortable to work with extra guidance. Because this is more difficult to coordinate in terms of availability, location, and costs, a session with two facilitators is a custom-made solution.
Anyone interested in a duo session with two facilitators should therefore ideally in advance contact to discuss your wishes. This way, we can determine what is practically feasible and which setup best suits your situation.
You can view our team below. We have various guides, and you can read about their working methods on their profile pages. This helps you get a better sense of who best aligns with your wishes, pace, and intentions.

The locations
We have multiple locations in the Netherlands where clients can come, but sessions can also take place at the client's location. This is a great option for many people in the Netherlands, as the session can then simply take place at home or in a familiar environment. This is equally convenient for clients from abroad, as a facilitator can also come to the rented accommodation. We can also recommend beautiful locations that are particularly suitable for duos, such as multiple rooms or in nature.
The Triptherapie supervisors each have their own working area within the Netherlands. Together, they form a nationwide network, ensuring that a suitable supervisor is available in many places across the country. Those with a strong preference for a specific supervisor should book accommodation in their working area or choose a location where that supervisor works.
Use the tool below to see which Triptherapie guide works where and what it costs for a private duo session at the entered location. Sessions at our locations always include one overnight stay and food & drinks.

Choose based on availability
For some people, their own availability is limited, so it must be possible for both the duo and the facilitator. For duo sessions, it is usually especially helpful to look into this early, because there needs to be a match not only with a facilitator and location, but also with two schedules at the same time.
If you already know which support worker you want to work with, it is best to check their availability immediately. This makes it easier to find a good match based on support worker, location, and date. Check our support workers' availability via the button below.

What is included in a duo session?
A psychedelic duo session consists of more than just the session day. The intake, personal preparation, pre-session contact, the session itself, and post-session integration are always included. For sessions at our own locations, overnight accommodation and food and drinks are included as standard.
For duo sessions, however, we can create a customized program. This could involve two consecutive sessions with more contact moments in between. We can also offer a multi-day retreat with multiple overnight stays at beautiful locations, which is particularly convenient for people coming from abroad.
