Integrating psychedelic sessions with psychodrama and IFS

Integrating psychedelics

Integrating psychedelic sessions

For those who have undergone a therapeutic session using high-dose psychedelics, integrating the experience can play a crucial role in achieving the desired results. During a psychedelic session, people can gain profound experiences and insights that can help them understand and process certain patterns, beliefs, or traumas. These insights can lead to positive changes in the person's life, such as improved relationships, increased self-acceptance, and the discovery of new perspectives.

The integration process after a psychedelic session is necessary to anchor the experience and insights into daily life. It involves understanding the meaning of the experience and finding ways to apply the insights in daily life. This may involve developing new habits and behaviors, such as meditation, exercise, or developing new relationships. The integration process may also involve letting go of certain beliefs or behaviors that are no longer helpful.

Sometimes integrating the insights from a psychedelic session can be difficult. This can be due to various factors, such as resistance to change, a lack of support in one's environment, or not knowing how to put the insights into practice. In these cases, it can be helpful to utilize the integration options we offer.

Integration interview is included

We offer all our clients the option of a phone integration consultation after their psychedelic session. Most people who use this option do so about a week after the session, as a week often provides the right amount of time to process the experience. During this consultation, we can explore which insights can be used to make healthier choices and change behavior.

For those who desire greater integration or prefer to do so in a group setting, there is now the option to participate in group sessions for integrating psychedelic experiences. These group sessions, designed to strengthen integration, are based on psychodrama/IFS.

Psychodrama, TSM and IFS

Psychodrama is known as one of the most effective methods for trauma processing and can be a very effective addition to psychedelic therapy. We offer a safe environment in which you can grow and flourish, heal old wounds, and discover new possibilities.

The Therapeutic Spiral Model (TSM) adds components to psychodrama to work safely with trauma. Therapists who work with TSM learn psychodrama and trauma-informed therapy to support you in exploring and overcoming traumatic impact. TSM can therefore be a welcome additional support if psychedelic sessions have been done for therapeutic reasons and trauma has played a role.

IFS stands for Internal Family Systems and is a psychotherapeutic approach that focuses on exploring and understanding the different parts of our personality. According to the IFS model, our inner world consists of different parts, such as the "manager," responsible for making decisions and controlling emotions; the "protector," which shields us from pain and vulnerability; and the "wounded parts," which carry emotional pain and trauma. IFS can help integrate psychedelic sessions by providing a framework for understanding and processing the experiences and insights that emerge during the session.

About the group integration session

The power of our psychodrama sessions lies in their specific design to meet this need for integration and transformation. You'll meet like-minded individuals with similar experiences, explore the depths of your being, and discover paths to healing and growth you've never explored before. We work with inner parts according to the Therapeutic Spiral Model and IFS, allowing you to experience a profound healing process.

During the gathering, we'll build strong connections and safety within the group. We'll create a space where you can share your experiences, surrounded by people who understand you and guided by therapists who understand what you're going through. Experience the powerful impact of active engagement in the group, where we'll focus on your personal (and group) themes and goals. We'll organize two interactive sessions where everyone is actively involved and works specifically on their individual healing process.

This is a journey where we embrace spontaneity and creativity. By being spontaneous, you discover new experiences and insights without overthinking them. Creativity allows you to find new ways to express yourself and forge your own path. This allows you to truly grow and develop in ways you might never have imagined.

In our gatherings, we offer a safe space where you can explore, understand, and heal your traumas, in a group of people who have experienced similar challenges. Here, you can release old patterns and discover new paths. Besides peace, trust, and hope, you'll find greater emotional stability, resilience, self-acceptance, connection, meaning, and the ability to rebuild your life. With the support of experienced therapists, inspired by trauma experts like Bessel van der Kolk, you'll discover you're not alone on this journey to recovery.

Investing in progress

Perhaps you long for a more positive self-image, for self-love instead of self-criticism. Perhaps you long for deep relationships based on trust and connection. Or perhaps you simply desire inner peace, a sense of safety and security that you've lacked for so long.

You deserve healing, inner peace, and stability. It's understandable that you long for connection, self-acceptance, and restoration. You're opening the way to renewed direction and meaning in your life, where you're content and happy with yourself and your path. You're clearing the way to transform into the person you've always wanted to be.
