MS and tripping on psilocybin
Yesterday, I was the guide during a psychedelic trip for a Londoner with MS. This man's past hasn't been easy, and that naturally affects him. The goal of the trip was to accept the past and live more in the present. A life without fear can also help people with various illnesses. Fear is a catalyst for many conditions.
What is MS or multiple sclerosis?
MS is an autoimmune disease in which the nerve cells of the brain and spinal cord are destroyed by macrophages. This results in communication from the brain to other areas becoming more difficult. Muscle control also becomes more difficult. Much remains unclear about MS. For example, the precise cause is still unknown.

What can help prevent MS?
The following is still hypothetical at this point. If you were to assume that MS is the body's response to clean up damaged cells, it's possible that reducing damage would result in a reduced immune system response. Less inflammation also means less work for the macrophages. Inflammation can be drastically reduced with lifestyle changes. The image below shows the things we should avoid to reduce inflammation.

Vitamin D against MS
The risk of developing MS is lowest around the equator. This may be related to the hours of sunlight and therefore the production of vitamin D. Moderate exposure to sunlight could help. Taking vitamin D supplements or using tanning beds in moderation can also help.
Diet against MS
A diet can do so much good. We've previously shared diet tips for stress and depression. The same diet can also help with MS because it helps in three ways. First, this diet reduces inflammation in the intestines and other areas of the body. Second, it indirectly reduces stress. Reduced stress and cortisol promote body recovery, which is crucial for MS. Third, this diet increases serotonin levels and thus the release of BDNF.

BDNF may play a key role in the fight against MS
BDNF stands for Brain Derived Neurotrophic Factor and is a hormone (protein) that stimulates nerve cell repair and the production of new nerve cells. In MS, BDNF may therefore play a key role in repairing damaged areas. Perhaps the increased concentration of BDNF can help the body repair itself faster than the immune system can break it down. If this technique could be combined with a healthy lifestyle and thus reduced inflammatory responses, it could be very helpful.

Psychedelics against MS
The highest possible stimulation of the 5HT2a receptor to release BDNF is the use of psychedelics. These are truly mind-altering drugs (English for medication). Psilocin from magic mushrooms, DMT from ayahuasca, or LSD stimulate the 5HT2a receptor in such a way that BDNF concentration also increases significantly. This combination results in neurogenesis, which means creating new neurons at a level that is unprecedented.

We believe in the healing effects of mushrooms and magic truffles
Whether magic mushrooms and increasing BDNF can help cure MS remains to be proven. To me, it seems very plausible that these techniques can lead to progress. Therefore, at this point, we can only answer the question of whether magic mushrooms can help cure MS by saying that we believe they do.
What do you think about it?
Do you have MS? How do you think it developed? Have you experienced a history of high levels of stress and anxiety? Do vitamin D and limited sunlight play a role in your condition? Do you think our trip therapy could help? Let us know!
