I am coming from abroad and want to attend a psychedelic retreat. What should I consider when organising my trip?
About the psychedelic retreats
We also organise several monthly two-day psychedelic retreats, including MDMA group sessions and truffle ceremonies, in addition to private psychedelic sessions. These usually take place at our location in Schiedam and last two days. When planning your trip from abroad, you should take the following into account.
Is participation safe or possible?
Planning the trip
If you want to participate in a psychedelic retreat, it is convenient that you are available on the days we organise these retreats. Check out the dates below and assess whether you have a time frame in which you can participate. If you participate in our retreats, we expect you somewhere between 13:00 and 16:00 on the day of the retreat and you can stay until 12:00 the day after the ceremony date. If you need a long flight to join us, we recommend arriving in the Netherlands a day in advance and booking a hotel near our location in Schiedam (Noordvestsingel) for one night. That way, you can be sure to arrive on time. You can also consider booking that same hotel for three or four days if you want more privacy for after the ceremony. We will then take you to the hotel (if nearby) after the ceremony.
The day after the ceremony, we will have another morning programme from 10 am to 12 noon and participation in this is without obligation. After 12:00 we close the retreat and you can go home. If you come from abroad, we do recommend that you do not travel far on the day after the ceremony. It's even better to book a hotel in a place of your own choice for this day.
In short, when travelling far away, it is convenient if you arrive in the Netherlands a day in advance and stay overnight in a hotel, the night after the ceremony you can spend the night together at our venue or go to your own hotel nearby for more privacy. The day after the ceremony it is convenient to rest and arrange another overnight stay at a place of your choice.

Order of reservation
After you have completed the intake and are sure you can participate in a psychedelic retreat, you can book a date with us. You can do this by booking a ceremony above. After we approve your booking, we will send you a confirmation with a request for a deposit. We will then hold the reserved spot for you for a standard 48 hours. After this, book your flight(s) and any hotel accommodation. After arranging your transport, etc., pay the deposit (instructions in the confirmation e-mail) for the retreat and you will have made your reservation.
After deposit
Once you are finally registered for one of our retreats, we will personally send advice. You can use this advice to prepare for the ceremony. We will also send information about the retreat itself including practical information the week before the retreat.
Prefer a private retreat?
If the available dates of the scheduled retreats do not fit well with your schedule, you can choose to book a private session or ceremony. These private sessions are not limited by the availability of the open retreats and can take place all days based on the facilitator you choose. For private retreats, you can choose to use our location in Schiedam or have the session take place at your own rented location such as a holiday home or Airbnb. Good preparation includes filling in an intake form and consulting with your treating physician to determine whether participation is safe, especially if you are on medication or have medical conditions. It is also advisable to prepare mentally and physically through meditation, healthy eating and setting intentions for the retreat. We will help you do this.
Our retreats last two days and take place at our location in Schiedam. You are expected between 13:00 and 16:00 on the first day and can stay until 12:00 the day after the ceremony. The programme includes the psychedelic session, group discussions, meditation and integration activities to process and understand your experience.
If you are coming from far away, we recommend arriving in the Netherlands a day before the retreat and booking a hotel near our location in Schiedam. This will ensure you arrive on time and start the retreat rested. After the ceremony, you can choose to stay overnight at our venue or return to your own hotel for more privacy. It is also wise not to plan any long trips the day after the ceremony and book an additional overnight stay to rest and integrate the experience.
The cost for a truffle ceremony is €550 and for an MDMA group session €650. You can reserve a date by booking the desired ceremony through our website. After approval of your reservation, you will receive a confirmation with a request for a deposit. We will hold the reserved spot for you for 48 hours. After arranging your transport and accommodation, you will need to pay the deposit to finalise your booking.
After your final registration, you will receive personal advice in preparation for the ceremony. In the week before the retreat, we will send additional practical information about the course of the retreat and what to expect.
