Blue lotus during truffle ceremony

Blue Lotus Egypt

Blue lotus

The beautiful blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) is more than just a gorgeous blue water lily. This flower originates from ancient Egypt and was already used for spiritual purposes back then. The blue lotus was seen as a symbol of rebirth. Other attributed properties of the blue lotus include increased libido (aphrodisiac), sleep aid, muscle relaxant, anti-anxiety agent, and lucid dreaming. The substances nuciferine and apomorphine, found in the blue lotus, are non-selective dopamine agonists that can induce a positive feeling in individuals with low dopamine levels. Some even claim that the blue lotus is a healthier alternative to marijuana and cannabis, with similar effects.

The truffle ceremony and psilocybin

During a truffle ceremony or mushroom ceremony, the psilocybin you ingest is converted by the body into psilocin. Psilocin has a strong effect on the HT2a (serotonergic) receptors in the brain, where it produces the psychedelic effects.

Some of the effects of psilocybin are hallucinations, less ego, being more in the here and now, more connectedness with emotions, more connectedness with the outside world, more contentment, experiencing more happiness and new brain connections are created.

Blue lotus and psilocybin

When we combine the effects of blue lotus with those of psilocybin during a truffle ceremony, they have a synergistic effect. The primary effect of blue lotus is a pleasant feeling of warmth around the head and upper body. It also creates a very comfortable, dreamy feeling, with a slightly stimulating effect. The 6th chakra, or third eye, can be opened more easily by blue lotus. Thanks to the powerful hallucinogenic effects of psilocybin and psilocin in magic truffles, you can turn inward in a peaceful, dreamy way. It's like combining lucid dreaming with psychedelics. Because dopamine receptors are mildly stimulated by the substances in blue lotus and serotonin receptors by the truffles, this can induce a feeling of euphoria. In short, it can provide an inward journey with a great deal of peace, clear visuals, and a sense of well-being.
