More attention for psychedelic therapy
In recent years, attention to psychedelics as a therapeutic tool has grown. The growth in scientific studies demonstrates the high level of trust in psychedelics, particularly psilocybin from magic mushrooms and truffles. How long it will take for mainstream mental health services to begin working with psychedelics depends on the pace of scientific research. We have previously written about these topics, and our articles can be found via these links:

News outlets that write about psychedelics
More and more news reports are appearing about psilocybin therapy or sessions with other psychedelics. A simple search term like psilocybin therapy yields around 307,000 results today, which was much lower than eight years ago when we started offering lifestyle coaching combined with psilocybin truffles.

Attention to psilocybin therapy is steadily growing, and we're frequently approached by podcasters, TV producers, YouTube programs, magazines, and other media outlets. The most recent is Reporters Online, which writes about trip therapy, among other things:

Completely gone psychedelic therapy never been. Therapy is still offered in the alternative circuit. For example, at Psychedelic Therapy Netherlands, which is triptherapie.nl offers various types of therapy based on a psychotropic drug such as psilocybin (found in truffles) or LSD. Initiator Marcel van der Putten worked in sports and nutrition and founded Triptherapie based on the idea that a healthy body performs best when the mind is also healthy.
His approach is serious and thorough. Marcel: "The therapy begins with preparation. Clients undergo a comprehensive intake and neurotransmitter assessment based on questions about their emotional state. For example, if someone experiences headaches, difficulty concentrating, and worrying, this could indicate a low level of the neurotransmitter GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid). People with a GABA deficiency may experience anxiety, and we take this into account."‘
‘Most of our clients suffer from depression. In addition to trip therapy, which consists of one or more psychedelic sessions spaced several weeks apart, we also offer advice on nutrition, exercise, and supplements. We view psychedelic therapy as a holistic approach in which we treat the body and mind as a whole.’

The future of psilocybin therapy
After the final phases of scientific research on psilocybin are successfully concluded, we can no longer ignore the fact that psilocybin must be removed from its hard drug status (Opium Act Schedule 1). A possible new classification could be labeling it as a medicine, which would mean regulation. The use of the pure substance psilocybin would then likely be reserved for psychiatrists and mainstream mental healthcare providers. The advantage of this is that health insurers will reimburse it. A disadvantage could be that if only mainstream healthcare can administer it, it would become too clinical and the effect could diminish. Currently, psilocybin is not prescribed but taken voluntarily in the belief that it works. That small placebo effect can evaporate through prescription through mainstream healthcare. Let's hope that psilocybin becomes a medicine and that magic truffles remain legal for the alternative approach. This way, everyone can make a choice they believe in, and that can help with the outcome.
Psilocybin therapy with magic truffles
Psilocybin therapy can now legally take place through the use of magic truffles containing psilocybin. This is convenient for those who cannot or do not want to wait for the slow progress of scientific research. We offer psychedelic sessions combined with general health advice based on an intake. Are you ready to give a psychedelic session a try?
