Conclusion:

We like animation movies that have a good story or other movies with some philosophical questions in it. Keep in mind to turn off the televison when it's getting too intense during your trip. Take a break, listen too some music or distract yourself when you need a break. And don't use psychedelics alone withoud oversight, especially not he real big doses.

Did you know?

In the Netherlands it's legal to use psychedelics, but not all. Psilocybin is legal when we use magic truffles and LSD and MDMA is legal when we use an anlog of it (while still having the same effects). If you ever want to do a guided psychedelic session, you can do with us when you visit the Netherlands in or near a city like Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht and Eindhoven.

The Matrix movies are really next level! I was also thinking about this. But I don't know if I would watch them because they don't have a happy ending. I think it can leave you more confused.
The Disney movies are a bit more enjoyable in this I think and also with plenty of food for thought.

Watching a movie while tripping can be a deeply emotional, visually stunning, or even transformative experience — but only when the right film is chosen. During a psychedelic trip, your senses are amplified, your mind becomes more open to symbolism, and your emotional responses are heightened. That’s why calm, meaningful, or visually rich films are usually the best fit.

🎥 What to Avoid:

  • Fast-cut horror, thrillers, or dystopian films — they can trigger anxiety or paranoia.
  • Overly complex narratives on high doses — you may lose the plot and feel confused.
  • Anything with loud, jarring audio or aggressive themes.

🧘 Tip:

If your goal is inner work or spiritual insight, watching a film after the peak of your trip — or the day after — may be more beneficial. For therapeutic sessions, the guide usually encourages closed-eye introspection rather than screen-based stimuli.
