The perception of reality

All people view the world in their own way. We are genetically pre-programmed to convert electromagnetic waves with our senses into information that we understand. We only use a small part of the spectrum and by definition we are missing more than is there. The older we get, the more we compare the new data with the data we already have in our brains. As a result, adults often see things as the brain already knows, making us even more selective with the things we experience. For example, if you buy a car of a certain make and model, you would recognize it more and more often. This is because the things we pay attention to will grow in our perception of reality. This is how our circumstances create our limited reality. Great examples of illusions due to expectations through conditioning can be seen in these videos.

Negativity creates negative reinforcement

People who think the world is a bad place are subconsciously looking for bad things in the world. This is because the brain is trained to use random information, which is what the universe is, to connect exactly the dots that mean something bad. For example, someone who is afraid of snakes is constantly trying to recognize the shape of a snake in random things. In this way we train our brain to do even more of what it already did.

Positivity changes consciousness and reality

Positive thoughts change our reality. A good start to positivity is gratitude. To occasionally reflect on the things for which you are grateful changes your perception of reality. The brain is then trained to increasingly recognize the good things in life. Gratitude can therefore be a start to reducing depression and anxiety-related complaints because the focus is on the positive. This works well because the world is what you think it is. Positivity attracts positivity and other people, which reduces loneliness. See also this video:

Psychedelics for a different view of reality

Psilocybin in higher doses is known to alter the perception of reality. The reason why psilocybin is so good at this is because of its hallucinogenic properties, while psilocybin can also give a feeling of satisfaction, connection and gratitude. During the psychedelic state, many people realize that the conditioning that negatively affects us is not necessary at all and that it can be done differently. We look at ourselves from a distance and we can think differently with all the information.

Even more effects of psilocybin

The sum of its parts…

In trip therapy we use psilocybin sessions in the form of a truffle ceremony. We combine the truffle ceremony with even more things that can cause positive thoughts. It starts with nutrition and supplements. Everything we put into the body also has an effect on the psyche. The same goes for exercise, sunlight and social activity. If you tackle everything at once, the positive effect is greater than if you only underwent talk therapy, for example. The psilocybin sessions in the form of a truffle ceremony are available in different strengths.
